According to The Bar Council these cuts will ‘irreversibly undermine access to justice’ preventing clients from getting the critical help they need.

In a recently published paper, the Bar Council states that the proposals will ‘damage the reputation of the justice system worldwide’ and has urged all of it’s members to write to their MPs to alert them of the inherent dangers of these plans.

Whether the new smooth and slick BlackBerry 10 design is copied off Apple’s iPhone 5 or, as others may allege, Apple copying BlackBerry, the impending release of the new BlackBerry 10 is awaited by some with great anticipation and excitement!

There have been several leaks of the expected design and initial reaction has been positive with claims already that the BlackBerry 10 has better screen resolution than the iPhone 5.

Although slighter larger than the iPhone 5, BB 10 features a 4.2-inch display with a 1280×768 pixel HD resolution, an amazing 2GB RAM Memory and is equipped with 16GB of internal storage. BB 10 sees the carrying out of a whole new interface, with Research In Motion (RIM) doing away with the conventional BlackBerry structure everyone’s used to, and coming up with something similar to the likes of Android and iOS, except with its own distinct features. With BlackBerry 10, RIM has combined home screens, widgets, app lists and a unified inbox into one smooth interface, resulting in an easy-to-navigate user experience!

Some of the operating system’s new features include BlackBerry Hub, where users can find their email, notifications and popular social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter. The Hub is located to the left of the on-screen image and can be simply accessed with a drag of the finger, unlike the iPhone 5 where you have to quit a task in order to access it.

The BB 10 also contains a balance feature that is unavailable on the iPhone 5, allowing users to have separate personal and business areas. You can’t accidentally copy a work file into your personal storage account, and everything in work mode is fully secure with remote wipe available just in case your handset gets lost or stolen.

Seemingly packed with other features such as a longer lasting battery life, true multitasking and faster opening pages, will consumers find the new BB 10 better than the Apple iPhone 5? Will the iPhone 5 be found to be superior with the large amount of apps available? Even though the BlackBerry 10 is believed to be supporting approximately 90% of the top 600 apps, will this be enough to convince consumers to switch to the BB 10 or continue on with their trusty iPhone 5? Especially as the vast majority of users are already using Apple’s iOS and have the apps and content people want. Or has it taken RIM too long to finally catch up?

With January 30th the long-awaited BlackBerry 10 worldwide launch date; consumers will be able to decide for themselves, and only time will tell which is the better smartphone.

Comments:

Jolene – I’ve used Blackberry for 8yrs. I’m ordering my new BB10 and it will blow iPhone 5 away. Those that don’t get one, will definitely be missing out.

D. Hills – BB10 looks oddly like the iPhone. It will be hard to beat the iPhone but will probably be the best smartphone from BB

TaylorWison – Blackberry is just so awesome! I can’t wait for BB10! No more spam! No more security violations! No more hacking! Better camera than iphone Better screen resolution than iphone Best for office use and best for personal use

Kevin Wood – My wife and son use iPhones and have done for a while, but both have been majorly in awe from what they have seen of the new BlackBerry 10 so far and they are both keen to switch over to BB10 as long as there is an adequate number of apps. Based on evidence from RIM the ‘app’ issue will be a non-issue by the time they hit the market. I so hope this is true so I can surprise my wife and son with a new BB 10!!

Gazza – Looking forward to it!! I’ve never been so excited for a smartphone in my life as I am now…

Jason1976zz – I’ve been with BlackBerry for ages now. It’s easy to use for business and to keep in touch with friends. Now I’m waiting for one of the best comebacks in IT history! Apple and Android will have to go back to the drawing board to have an OS that can keep up with RIM going forward! I hope the BB10 launch goes well. Long live RIM!!! Can’t wait till the BB10 launch. Only 9 more days!!

Adsmuscle – I have been texting my cousin for the last hour or so. She is a die hard iphone 5 fan and even she is enthusiastic over the things RIM have come up with

ArnieBoy – This smartphone will be steered more towards business people. For those of us still looking for a decent business phone, the BB10 might just be the one. Many of the BB10 apps will be business oriented and many of the current apps will be featured. Nobody does email and communication better than Blackberry!

ZoeyyY – Blackberry is by far better than any iphone or android phone. From screen resolution, connectivity, camera, keyboard, security, hardware etc…etc…etc… and just to let you know the BB!) is the ONLY smartphone in the WORLD that has a QNX multitasking micro kernel – something that NASA uses in their space shuttles!! Apple may be richer b ut they aren’t as innovative as RIM and the BB10 is offering far more apps than Apple. Blackberry 10 is in a class all of it’s own. And if it lacks anything, they will just catch it in the next version!

B.BOB – Being able to communicate securely and browse online are more important to me than how many apps are available. So I’m really looking forward to the new Z10. Too much spotlight is put on Apple and Android and I welcome another competitor to the market to give us consumers a broader choice

In 1989 when the Hillsborough disaster happened it shook the sport of football. Since then the families of the 96 people who died that day have wanted to know what happened leading up to the tragedy, to find out who was to blame and why the police tried to cover-up the details of what actually happened.

In 2009 on the 20th anniversary of the disaster, the Hillsborough independent panel was formed with the aim to find out the truth about what happened that day by campaigning for the release of the official documents of the events by the government. It wasn’t till the 12th of September 2012 that the documents were released to the public. The panel concluded that none of the Liverpool fans were in any way to blame for the events that day and that the main cause for the disaster was the lack of police control over the crowd. It was also revealed that overcrowding issues were reported at least two years earlier and nothing was done to fix the problem.

The panel also concluded that it was possible that up to 41 of the 96 victims lives could have been saved if medical attention had been given to them quicker as the post mortem reports showed that around half the victims were still alive after being pulled out from the crowds but due to lack of medical attention they died.

The panel also proved that the south Yorkshire police and the other emergency services made a very ‘strenuous attempt’ to deflect the blame away from themselves and to place it solely upon the Liverpool fans. It was revealed that 164 different witness statements had been altered to place blame on the fans and 116 statements that showed the police in a bad light were removed from the report.

The police also performed blood tests on the victims (some of them children) to test for alcohol in their systems and ran checks on them in the database to try and find reasons to blame the fans and to also keep their reputation intact. The report concluded that the Conservative MP of Sheffield Hallam, Irvine Patnick, passed untrue information from the police to the press.

After the report was released a wave of apologies came from the government, press, and the emergency services with more excuses being made to deflect blame from them. On October 12th the Independent Police Complaints Commission or IPCC have launched an investigation into why the police failed to declare that a major incident had occurred until it was too late and to why the police failed to close the tunnel leading out to the grounds when there was evidence that it has been done before.

Since the truth was revealed the government has announced that they will help support the families of the 96 victims of Hillsborough by helping with legal costs. Their aim is to get the people who are to blame for the events leading up to and after the tragedy punished for their crimes.

A charity single has been created with the aim to also help pay for the legal costs for the families of the 96 victims so they get justice they deserve. The group known as the Justice Collective involves some of the best known celebrities of the Merseyside region such as Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams and John Bishop. The song titled ‘He ain’t Heavy, He’s my brother’ was put together with hope of raising money for the families of the 96 and is currently topping the Christmas music charts.

Now that the truth is out the high court announced on the 19th of December that a new enquiry into the events of that day has been launched to the delight of friends and family of the 96 victims. With this new enquiry being put into place it means that maybe justice will finally prevail and that the victims of this tragedy may have been lost but they will never be forgotten.

If you have been injured in an accident that was not your fault within the last three years, you could be entitled to make a claim for compensation. This could be as a driver in a car accident or an employee slipping on a wet floor. If your accident was a direct result of someone elses negligence then you have a claim for compensation.

Did you know? If you have been a passenger in a fault vehicle accident then you can also make a claim for compensation. This is simply due to the fact that as a passenger you were not to blame for the accident taking place and therefore are not responsible for any injuries you may have suffered.
