Untraced Driver Accidents

Untraced Driver Accidents

Accidents where the driver is untraced can often be known as a ‘hit and run’ case. This is when the car involved in the accident fails to stop and give there insurance details.

These cases can often be quite serious and affect a number of people including drivers, passengers, pedestrians, cyclists and many more. In some circumstances CCTV can be found which gives the details of the other driver, but this is not always the case.

If the third party driver remains untraced then you will be able to make a claim by going through the Motor Insurer’s Bureau (MIB) where they will pay the compensation to the injured party if the case is accepted.

We deal with many different cases with untraced drivers so if you would like to speak to an advisor, or require advice about making a claim then call our Specialist Advice Centre on 0844 854 5090.
