Soft tissue injury

A soft tissue injury means simply, that damage has been done to the soft tissue of the body. Although considered minor, they can extremely painful and limit your ability to carry out day to day tasks. The four main affected tissues are the epithelial, muscular, nervous and connective tissues.

Soft tissue injuries include sprains, strains and Repetitive Strain Injury. They affect joints and muscles and include sprains, strains and dislocations. They are the most common type of personal injury, and are most commonly caused by Road Traffic Accidents and Slips, Trips and FallsBruising is common in soft tissue injuries and can be caused by damaged blood vessels bleeding under the skin, usually following a blow or knock to the body.
