Tendon Injuries
Tendons are the fibrous tissues that connect muscles to bones, acting as springs which help movement. Damage to tendons can therefore affect our ability to walk, run, or even do anything as simple as opening a door or lifting a cup of coffee. Common injuries affecting the body’s tendons include: tendonitis (or tendinosis), tears, subluxation.
Ligament Injuries
Ligaments attach bones to other bones, they are the connective tissue in our joints at the elbows, knees, wrists etc. Damage to ligaments can impair a person’s control over their range of motion, making joint movement difficult and painful. Serious ligament damage can take multiple surgeries and months of rehabilitation to recover. Common injuries to the body’s ligaments include: sprains (or tears) and strains.
